The hip joint is a ball and socket joint, formed by the head of the Femur (thigh bone) and the acetabulum of the pelvis. The dome-shaped head of the femur forms the ball, which fits snuggly into the concave socket of the acetabulum. The hip joint is a very sturdy joint, due to the tight fitting of the bones and the strong surrounding ligaments and muscles. The hip is a ball-and-socket joint that helps you move your legs during everyday activities such as walking and going up and down stairs. It has a good range of movement but it’s very stable and rarely dislocates, even after high-impact trauma. The Best way to get rid of joints,we should go for regular accesment and best othopedicien for checkups.
The knee joint
The knee joint is the largest joint in the body, consisting of 4 bones and an extensive network of ligaments and muscles. Injuries to the knee joint are amongst the most common in sporting activities. The knee is made up of four main bones- the femur (thigh bone), the tibia (shin bone), fibula (outer shin bone) and patella (kneecap). The main movements of the knee joint occur between the femur, patella and tibia. Each are covered in articular cartilage which is designed to decrease the frictional forces as movement occurs between the bones. The patella lies in an indentation at the lower end of the femur known as the intercondylar groove. At the outer surface of the tibia lies the fibula, a long thin bone that travels right down to the ankle joint.
Most commonly, overuse, age, and traumatic injuries cause structural damage to the knee that may limit its function. Best treatment and exercises will help you for Movements which are essential to many everyday activities, including walking, running, sitting and standing.
The shoulder joint
The shoulder is one of the most diverse joints in the human body. It permits the arm to be rotated, elevated, and extended both forward and backward. This very flexibility means that it is also one of the most unstable joints, making it prone to injury and shoulder surgery. A ball-and-socket style joint, the shoulder consists of three bones. The humerus is the bone in the upper arm, the scapula is commonly known as the shoulder blade, and the clavicle is often referred to as the collarbone. The humerus has a ball on its end that fits into a socket on the scapula. The scapula is connected to the shoulder at one end and the sternum at its other end. Surrounding the joint is a network of muscles and tendons that enable a wide range of motion.Shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body.It is a ball and socket joint that allows the arm to rotate in a circular fashion or to hinge out and up away from the body.
